Prospecting for it services
Prospecting for IT support companies and MSPs
Find the businesses in your area that have outgrown the IT they have, identify the owner or operations lead, and reach them from your own mailbox with a sequence written about their situation rather than your stack.
Self-serve from the Free plan with no card, or fully managed. Every result is grounded in live search or it is discarded.
Who this is for
Managed service providers and IT support companies selling to businesses of roughly ten to two hundred staff — the band that has real IT problems and no IT department. Especially those who win locally and want a steady flow of conversations without a full-time salesperson.
What Prospexly finds
Real, currently operating companies with a website, a phone number, a postal address and the page they were found on. Enrichment adds headcount band, founding year and a description of what they do, which is what lets an email open on their business rather than yours.
Searches that work well here
- “Accountancy practices in Birmingham with 10 to 50 staff”
- “Solicitors within 25 km of Leeds”
- “Manufacturing companies in the West Midlands”
- “Architecture practices in Manchester”
Who it identifies
Named people in the roles that can say yes, each carrying the page they were found on. Email addresses are only ever stored when they are published; a pattern-guessed address is refused rather than generated.
- Owner
- Managing Director
- Operations Director
- Finance Director
- Practice Manager
The angle the sequence takes: The risk they are carrying: a single point of failure, an unsupported server, a compliance requirement their sector has just acquired. IT is bought when the cost of not buying it becomes visible, and the sequence makes it visible without being alarmist.
What happens automatically
- Step 1
Companies are found
Grounded searches against live results, every company carrying the page it was found on. Anything that cannot be traced to a source is discarded.
- Step 2
The right people are identified
The roles you name, looked up on the company's own site and the public record. Where a name has no published address, enrichment researches one and never guesses.
- Step 3
Addresses are verified
Syntax, domain, mail servers, disposable providers and role accounts, before anything is sent. Undeliverable addresses are left out with the reason recorded.
- Step 4
The sequence is written and sent
Each step written to the recipient from your offer and their record, threaded as a reply, and sent from your own mailbox at a pace its warmup allows.
- Step 5
Replies become opportunities
A reply stops the follow-ups, opens an opportunity on your pipeline, marks the contact engaged and creates a task to answer them.
- Step 6
Everything lands in the CRM
Companies, people, messages, opens, clicks and replies, on records you keep whether or not you stay on a paid plan.
On the self-serve plans you run the searches and enrol the people; on Managed the engine does every step above on a ten-minute timer and you answer the replies.
What it replaces
- A purchased list of local businesses that is out of date on arrival
- Manual research across Companies House, LinkedIn and Google Maps
- A separate cold-email tool and a separate CRM, kept in step by hand
- An outsourced telemarketing retainer that reports calls made, not conversations had
What you can measure
- Companies found and decision-makers identified, on the Autopilot page
- Emails sent, opened, clicked and replied to, in the outbox and on every contact
- Replies that became opportunities, on the pipeline board with a stage and a value
- Cost per reply: your plan price divided by the replies the month produced
No response-rate promises here, deliberately. The numbers above are counted by the CRM and are yours to read after the first fortnight.
What it costs
One AI lead is one company or one contact. A search returning 10 companies with 1 contact each uses 20 leads. The Free plan includes the whole CRM and 2 AI leads a month with no card, so the first search costs nothing.

Describe who you sell to once. Prospexly finds the companies and the decision-makers, researches and verifies their addresses, writes a personalised sequence, sends it from your own mailbox and turns the replies into opportunities in your CRM. You answer the replies.
Questions from it services
- Will it find businesses that already have an MSP?
- Yes, and that is most of them. The email is written to the owner or operations lead about their situation, and an incumbent who is slow, expensive or about to be outgrown is the most common reason an MSP conversation starts. You can exclude companies already in your CRM, so existing clients are never contacted.
- Can it target only companies of a certain size?
- You set a size floor — micro, small, medium — and the engine asks for businesses at or above it and drops any it can confirm are smaller. Most businesses publish no headcount, so companies of unknown size are kept rather than discarded, and enrichment fills the band in where it can.
- Does the email mention my prices?
- Only if you tick a product or service from your catalogue. Then it quotes exactly that figure and nothing else. Many MSPs leave pricing out of the first touch and let the conversation get there.
Run one search and look at what comes back
The Free plan needs no card and includes the whole CRM. Search for the businesses you sell to, open a company and check the source page it came from. That is the only test that matters.
