Prospecting for recruitment agencies
Prospecting for recruitment agencies
Find the companies hiring in your sector, identify the hiring manager or HR lead, and open a conversation about the roles they are struggling to fill — from your own mailbox, at a pace your domain can sustain.
Self-serve from the Free plan with no card, or fully managed. Every result is grounded in live search or it is discarded.
Who this is for
Agencies and independent recruiters who win clients through business development rather than inbound, in sectors where the same fifty employers hire again and again. It suits a consultant who bills at the desk and cannot spend Tuesday afternoons on client acquisition.
What Prospexly finds
Employers in the sector you recruit for, with their website, location and a description of the business. Enrichment adds headcount, which is the single best predictor of whether they use agencies at all.
Searches that work well here
- “Engineering companies in the North West with 50 to 250 staff”
- “Care home groups in Yorkshire”
- “Logistics companies within 50 km of Northampton”
- “Software companies in Bristol”
Who it identifies
Named people in the roles that can say yes, each carrying the page they were found on. Email addresses are only ever stored when they are published; a pattern-guessed address is refused rather than generated.
- HR Manager
- Head of People
- Talent Acquisition Lead
- Managing Director
- Operations Director
The angle the sequence takes: Their hiring problem, stated specifically: the roles their sector cannot fill, the time to hire that is stretching, the cost of a seat left empty. A recruiter who names the role reads as someone who works the market; one who lists their services reads as everyone else.
What happens automatically
- Step 1
Companies are found
Grounded searches against live results, every company carrying the page it was found on. Anything that cannot be traced to a source is discarded.
- Step 2
The right people are identified
The roles you name, looked up on the company's own site and the public record. Where a name has no published address, enrichment researches one and never guesses.
- Step 3
Addresses are verified
Syntax, domain, mail servers, disposable providers and role accounts, before anything is sent. Undeliverable addresses are left out with the reason recorded.
- Step 4
The sequence is written and sent
Each step written to the recipient from your offer and their record, threaded as a reply, and sent from your own mailbox at a pace its warmup allows.
- Step 5
Replies become opportunities
A reply stops the follow-ups, opens an opportunity on your pipeline, marks the contact engaged and creates a task to answer them.
- Step 6
Everything lands in the CRM
Companies, people, messages, opens, clicks and replies, on records you keep whether or not you stay on a paid plan.
On the self-serve plans you run the searches and enrol the people; on Managed the engine does every step above on a ten-minute timer and you answer the replies.
What it replaces
- Scraping job boards for company names, one at a time
- A LinkedIn Sales Navigator seat used for a list you then export by hand
- A generic mailshot from a marketing platform, sent from a shared IP
- The spreadsheet of prospects that nobody updates after the first fortnight
What you can measure
- Employers found and hiring leads identified, on the Autopilot page
- Opens, clicks and replies per sequence step, on the sequence page
- Replies that became opportunities — a terms-of-business conversation — on the pipeline
- Cost per conversation against the fee on one placement
No response-rate promises here, deliberately. The numbers above are counted by the CRM and are yours to read after the first fortnight.
What it costs
One AI lead is one company or one contact. A search returning 10 companies with 1 contact each uses 20 leads. The Free plan includes the whole CRM and 2 AI leads a month with no card, so the first search costs nothing.

Describe who you sell to once. Prospexly finds the companies and the decision-makers, researches and verifies their addresses, writes a personalised sequence, sends it from your own mailbox and turns the replies into opportunities in your CRM. You answer the replies.
Questions from recruitment agencies
- Can I keep candidates and clients separate?
- Yes. Prospexly is a client-acquisition CRM: companies and the decision-makers inside them. It is not an applicant tracking system and does not try to be one. Keep candidates where they are and use this for the employers.
- Will it contact companies I already work with?
- Not if they are in your CRM. Every search excludes companies you already hold, and any address on your suppression list is never written to. Import your client list first and it becomes the exclusion list.
- How many employers a week?
- You set a ceiling — ten, twenty-five, fifty or a hundred new companies a week — and the mailbox's warmup ramp sets the real pace underneath it. A newly connected mailbox writes to a handful of new people a day and climbs from there; that is deliberate, because a recruitment domain that gets filtered is a recruitment business that cannot email candidates either.
Run one search and look at what comes back
The Free plan needs no card and includes the whole CRM. Search for the businesses you sell to, open a company and check the source page it came from. That is the only test that matters.
